Homozygous null mice show strain-specific changes in survival, body weight, thermoregulation and cold-swim induced tremors, impaired associative learning and memory, sporadic seizures and amygala hyperexcitability. Mice homozygous for a knock-in mutationshow no deficits in associative learning.
