Notes
This virus susceptibility allele is found in strains NIH Swiss, DDD, BALB/c, DBA, AKR, and others. Mouse strains carrying this allele are susceptible to progression of infection by Friend virus. To date the resistance (wild-type) allele has been found only in strains A, C57BL/6 and other members of the C57 and C58 family and in M. spretus. This locus probably also influences susceptibility to Rauscher leukemia virus, and the locus named Rv2 may be the identical.
