Mice homozygous for a knock-out allele exhibit postnatal lethality, hydrocephaly, ventriculomegaly, abnormal brain ependyma motile cilium morphology and physiology, reduced cerebrospinal fluid flow, astrogliosis, microgliosis, cerebrovascular and myelination abnormalities, and severe sinusitis.
