origin
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:60391
Parent Cell Line:  E14 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129P2/OlaHsd
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsA lacZ gene was inserted in-frame into the gene, fused to the endogenous transcription start site. A neomycin selection cassette followed the lacZ gene. Northern blot analysis on RNA derived from homozygous ES cells demonstrated that no detectable transcript was produced from this allele, and western blot analysis on homozygous ES cells confirmed that no stable protein is produced from this allele (data not shown).
