Mutation details: A neomycin selection cassette replaced a genomic fragemnt that contained two exons that encode the first P-loop. RT-PCR analysis on RNA derived from brain of homozygous mice demonstrated that an aberrant transcript was made that spliced around the missing exons to generate an mRNA that maintained an in-frame deletion.
