Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:73609
Parent Cell Line:  Bruce 4 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  B6.Cg-Thy1a
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutation:    Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsThis allele is a derivative of Wasltm1Wehl. Cre-mediated recombination in vivo removed exons 6-9 in the germline, eliminating the effector domains and leaving a single loxP site in place of the deleted sequence. The authors predict that splicing exon 5 to the remaining exon 10 would create a premature stop codon. (J:73609)
