Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsThe gene was disrupted by replacement of exons 3 and 4 encoding amino acids 44-99 with a neomycin resistance cassette. RT-PCR analysis of splenocyte RNA from homozygous mutant animals detected a mutant transcript with a frameshift and nonsense codon in exon 5. Western blot analysis of neocortex lysates and immunoprecipitation immunoblot of activated T cells from homozygous mutant animals did not detect a protein product. (J:69504)
