Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Inserted expressed sequence)
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Prph1)1Jpj expresses 1 gene

Mutation detailsThe full mouse Prph1 sequence including the endogenous promoter, 3.4 kb of 5' and 2.5 kb of 3' untranslated sequences was used for the transgene. (J:58388)

Carrying this Mutation:  Mouse Strains: 0 strains available      Cell Lines: 0 lines available
Notes
Transgenic animals carry 20 copies of the transgene and begin to develop motor dysfunctions after 2 years of age. Protein expression is increased 7-fold in the ventral roots and 3-fold in the dorsal roots of transgenic animals as determined by Western blot analysis.
