Mutation details: The gene was disrupted by replacment of exons 2-10 with a neo-TK cassette via homologous recombination. Germline founder animals were established but did not transmit the mutant allele to offspring, indicating a 100% segregation distortion. Authors hypothesize the HSV-TK gene is responsible for the lack of allele transmission.
