Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:79609
Parent Cell Line:  Not Specified (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129X1/SvJ
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsThe majority of exons 1 and 2, as well as the intervening intron, were replaced with a construct containing GFP followed by neo. GFP was inserted immediately downstream of the endogenous start codon. Northern blot analysis of heterozygous mutant mice showed transcript levels to be reduced by approximately 50% in brain, heart, kidney, and skeletal muscle samples. (J:79609)
