description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Inducible, Recombinase)
Inducer:    mifepristone
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Myh6-cre/PGR*)1Mds expression driven by 1 gene

Mutation detailsThe Myh6 promoter was used to drive cardiac myocyte-specific expression of an inducible cre fused to the mutated ligand-binding domain of human PGR (amino acids 641-891). Three founder lines, 6306, 6297, and 6299, were generated with line 6306 showing the lowest level of cre protein by Western blot and lowest prevalence of ligand-dependent recombination, with 6299 showing the highest level of recombination. Copy number was found to be highest in 6299 (about 10) with 6306 having the lowest (1). (J:127215)
