Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Recombinase)
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(SFTPC-cre)11Yo expression driven by 1 gene

Mutation detailsThe transgenic construct contains the 4.1 kb human pro-surfactant protein C promoter (from an RPCl-11 human BAC clone) driving the Cre recombinase sequence. This construct was injected into the pronuclei of C57BL/6 blastocysts. Five founders were generated, and from crosses to transgenic reporter mice, lines 11 and 14 exhibited reporter expression in the lungs. Both lines contain a single transgene copy and were propagated for further study. (J:147388)
