Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Recombinase)
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Adipoq-cre)#Pesch expression driven by 1 gene

Mutation detailsA 5.4-kb promoter construct containing a 4.9-kb upstream adiponectin promoter sequence, the first exon, 200 bp from the 5' end of intron 1, 200 bp from the 3' end of intron 1, and a partial fragment of the second exon was generated. The endogenous ATG in the exon 2 fragment was mutated to ATA to facilitate correct translation initiation of the transgene. The construct was fused to the cre recombinase open reading frame and the linearized fragment was microinjected into FVB pronuclei. Founders were backcrossed to FVB mice. No line numbers were specified. (J:160881)
