Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Inducible, Recombinase)
Inducer:    tamoxifen
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Dbh-cre/ERT2)198.1Hroh expression driven by 1 gene

Mutation detailsA cre-ERT2 cassette with a polyA sequence was inserted into a BAC containing the mouse Dbh gene by homologous recombination, resulting in cre expression directed by the Dbh promoter. This construct was integrated into the C57BL/6 background. Cre induction by tamoxifen in mice crossed to a reporter line exhibited cre activity in noradrenergic cells (sympathetic ganglia, adrenal chromaffin cells, and the locus ceruleus).
