Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Recombinase)
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(MAR-Trpv5-cre)#Prae expression driven by 1 gene

Mutation detailsThe transgenic construct consisted of a 3.6 kb fragment of the Trpv5 promoter inserted upstream of the cre recombinase coding region. This construct was insulated by a chicken lysozyme 5' matrix attachment region inserted in front of the Trpv5 promoter. Mice were generated by injecting the construct into male pronuclei of B6D2F2 zygotes. Founder line information was not available. Transgenic mice were validated by PCR and immunoblotting with a cre antibody. Recombinase activity was assessed in offspring from crosses of cre transgenics with a floxed Aqp2 line. (J:168534)
