Mutation details: Positive and negative selection cassettes flanked by modified lox sites were inserted into the Grhl locus by homologous recombination, replacing the region from 2678 bp upstream of exon 1 to 473 bp downstream of exon 5. This creates a locus cassette acceptor (LCA) allele which can be used for recombinase mediated cassette exchange (RMCE) to generate various knock-in alleles.
