Mutation details: The 7.4 kb mouse promoter along with exon 1 drives bone-specific expression of cre followed by an IRES and EGFP gene. Three lines were generated. Line 2 was selected as the representative line. RT-PCR confirmed cre transcript expression in the bone but not in the adipose, adrenal, bone marrow, brain, heart, intestine, kidney, liver, lung, muscle, skin, stomach, testis and thymus.
