Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Recombinase)
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Cyp11a1-cre)30Mchu expression driven by 1 gene

Mutation detailsThis transgene uses the cytochrome P450, family 11, subfamily a, polypeptide 1 promoter to drive expression of the codon-improved cre recombinase (iCre) in the adrenal cortex and gonads, as well as the diencephalons and midbrain. Two copies of the HS4 insulator sequences derived from chicken beta-globin LCR were inserted into the cassette either upstream or downstream of the construct in reverse direction. Lines 16 and 41 were also made and expressed at a similar high level and in a consistent pattern. (J:121826)
