description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Inducible, Recombinase, Reporter)
Inducer:    tamoxifen
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Elf5-cre/ERT2,-GFP)5Rcha expression driven by 1 gene

Mutation detailsA partial coding sequence of exon 2 of Elf5 was replaced with CreERT2-P2A-eGFP-SV40pA-Frt-Neo cassette-Frt by homologous recombination into BAC clone RP23-44A14. The Neo cassette flanked by Frt sites was deleted after FLP-mediated recombination. Six lines were generated and three lines with GFP expression in the mammary glands were kept for the initial screening. Line 2 and 5 showed strong GPF and essentially identical cre activity after tamoxifen induction. Line 2, male founder was selected for the detailed analysis. (J:277468)
