Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Recombinase)
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Amelx-icre)876Ppap expression driven by 1 gene

Mutation detailsThe transgene was created by modifying BAC by replacing exon 2 of mouse Amelx gene with an improved cre recombinase gene (icre). An FRT-flanked kanomycin resistance cassette was removed prior to injection. 4 independent BAC founder lines (854, 863, 872, and 876) were collected. Line 876 showed the strongest X-gal staining in ameloblasts. However, non-specific staining in the osteoclasts and osteoblasts are noted. (J:278625)
