Mutation detailsA targeting construct was generated by a combination of gene synthesis and recombineering. The Cre coding sequence and a frt-flanked neomycin (Neo) cassette were inserted into exon 1 of the Robo3 locus to replace the endogenous translation initiation codon and subsequent 31 nucleotides. The Neo cassette was subsequently deleted by crossing the chimeras to FLPe mice. (J:282827)
