description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Inducible, Recombinase)
Inducer:    tamoxifen
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Dct-cre/ERT2)40ALru expression driven by 1 gene

Mutation detailsA 6.7 kb transgenic vector was generated including the mouse dopachrome tautomerase (Dct) promoter driving expression of a cre/ERT2 fusion gene (a Cre recombinase fused to a human estrogen receptor ligand binding domain) followed by an SV40 polyadenylation sequence. The founder line 40A, with approximately 60 copies of the transgene inserted into the H4 region (AC121292.9) of chromosome 1 in an intergenic region between the H3.3 histone A (H3f3a) and the SDE2 telomere maintenance homolog (S. pombe) (Sde2) genes, was established.
