description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Conditional ready, Recombinase)
Mutation:    Insertion

Kcnip2tm1.1(cre)Uze expression driven by 1 gene

Mutation detailsThe targeting construct incorporated the sequence of an optimized roxed-Cre recombinase sequence preceded by the sequence coding for a short self-cleaving peptide P2A, and followed by an FRT-flanked neomycin resistance gene (Neo) into the third coding exon of the Kcnip2 gene. The insert carries an intersectional Dre-dependent Cre recombinase sequence achieved through the inclusion of a STOP cassette flanked by a pair of rox sites into the cre sequence. In presence of dre recombinase, cre recombinase is expressed driven by Kcnip2. The neo-selection sequence was removed by crossing chimeric mice with Flpe deleter mice. (J:332594)
