Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Recombinase)
Mutation:    Insertion

Taar5tm1.1(cre)Qli expression driven by 1 gene

Mutation detailsA sequence encoding Cre was introduced into the 3 untranslated sequence in the Taar5 gene immediately following the stop codon with an IRES sequence preceding the Cre sequence to allow bicistronic expression of TAAR5 and Cre. The targeting construct included a cassette of the neomycin gene flanked by FRT sites. The neomycin gene was removed by crossing the mice to a germline Flp recombinase line. (J:322210)
