Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Conditional ready)
Mutation:    Insertion     Vector: L1L2_Bact_P

Mutation detailsFlp-mediated recombination of the parental Acantm1a(EUCOMM)Hmgu allele excised the splice acceptor-lacZ reporter sequence and the neomycin selection cassette from the third intron, leaving the critical exon 4 flanked by loxP sites. Exposure to Cre recombinase will delete exon 4, resulting in a null mutation. Further information on targeting strategies used for this and other IKMC alleles can be found at http://www.informatics.jax.org/mgihome/nomen/IKMC_schematics.shtml. (J:267250)
