Mutation details: The human ACE2 cDNA is under the control of the CAG promoter (consisting of the cytomegalovirus immediate-early enhancer and the chicken beta-actin promoter). Five lines (AC12, AC22, AC50, AC63, and AC70) were generated. While this line is susceptible to infection with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus, it is resistant to lethality following infection.
