Mutation details: The mouse BAC clone (RP23-443E19) containing the entire Gata1 locus is driven in hematopoietic cells by 659bp fragments consisting of the three regulatory elements of the Gata1 gene, G1HE, dbG, and CACCC elements combined mini-gene (MG). The expression cassette consisting of Gata1/ERT2-polyA-Neo was inserted into the endogenous Gata1 initiating ATG by recombination. The correct clone was then used for Neo excision. Founder information and line numbers were not available, but only one line (Line 14) was established and used for the study.
