Mutation details: The targeting vector was designed to insert two loxP sites flanking the microRNA-211 (Mir211) sequence within the intron of the transient receptor potential cation channel, subfamily M, member 1 (Trpm1) gene. The targeting construct also included an FRT-flanked neomycin cassette. Transient transfection with Flp recombinase excised the neomycin resistance cassette.
