• voltage gated potassium currents are altered in cardiac myocytes of the hearts of mutants; fast transient outward potassium current densities in mutant LVA myocytes are lower than in wild-type myocytes
• slow postassium current density is higher in knockouts than in wild-type; the voltage dependence of inactivation of the slow potassium current is shifted by -10 mV in mutants
