Mutation details: A 50.9 kb BAC (#RP23-202K13) containing the 5'-transcriptional regulatory region of the murine calcitonin receptor-like (Calcrl) gene was coinjected with a nuclear localization signal (nls)-cre cDNA with an HSP70 minimal promoter, into fertilized C57BL/6NTac oocytes. A line was established from mice of founder line 4688, with insertion of the transgene and cre cDNA occurring at a single locus.
