Origin: Priscilla Lane 1988 from a spontaneous mutation (Hpt, hair patches, MNL 65:29) which arose in a segregating hybrid (C57BL/6JxC3HeB/FeJLe-a/a) background at N3 in 1979. Hpt was backcrossed three times to this hybrid, then inbred. Maintained by Le.
