Mice homozygous for a knock-out allele exhibit embryonic elthality before implantation, failure to hatch from the zona pellucida, decreased cell proliferation and increased apoptosis. Mice heterozygous for this allele exhibit abnormal body, testis and thymus weight and reduced sperm motility.
