Nullizygous mutations cause partial peri- and postnatal lethality, growth defects, craniofacial anomalies, and wide set eyes. Additional phenotypes include altered brain 5-HT and amino acids, reduced prepulse inhibition, impaired suckling, and increased apoptosis in sciatic nerve Schwann cells.
