Homozygous and heterozygous null mice display increased sensitivity to X-ray irradiation, increased oxidative stress, and impaired glutathione homeostasis. Mice homozygous for a gene trap insertion exhibit decreases in exploratory and locomotor activity and a decreased sensitivity to pain.
