Mice homozygous for a conditional allele activated in T cells exhibit decreased autophagy, decreased T cell proliferation, and increased T cell apoptosis. Mice homozygous for a knock-out allele exhibit decreased birth weight, neonatal lethality and abnormal autophagy.
