Homozygous null mice exhibit a fragile skeleton, reduced adiposity, lean body mass, body weight/length, long bone length and bone mineral density, increased creatinine levels, reduced amylase and serum albumin levels, increased energy efficiency and oxygen consumption, and altered liver physiology.
