Mice homozygous for a null allele exhibit small body size and defects in mast cell degranulation, cytokine secretion, and passive cutaneous anaphylaxis. Male mice are infertile due to a defect in spermatid maturation and show progressive degeneration and atrophy of the seminiferous tubules.
