Null homozygotes exhibit reduced total plasma corticosterone, increased susceptibility to bacterial infection, attenuation of the stress-induced surge in free corticosterone, and enhanced behavioral response to intense or uncontrollable stress. They exhibit no locomotor sensitization to cocaine.
