Homozygotes for a null allele show partial in utero lethality, runting, altered hematopoietic homeostasis and macrophage function, skin lesions and susceptibility to bacterial infection. Homozygotes for another null allele show enhanced LPS sensitivity, altered hematopoiesis and larger litter size.
