Mice homozygous for a null allele exhibit embryonic lethality between E7.5 and E9.5 with reduced size at E7.5 and neutral lipid accumulation in visceral endoderm cells. Mice homozygous for a conditional allele activated in intestinal epithelia exhibit reduced body weight and neutral lipid accumulation in intestinal epithelia.
