Nkx2-5tm2(cre)Rph - Alimentary System
Recombinase Activity Detail
Allele Information
Allele:
Nkx2-5tm2(cre)Rph
NK2 homeobox 5; targeted mutation 2, Richard P Harvey
Driver: Nkx2-5
Type: Targeted (No functional change, Recombinase)
Synonym: Nkx2.5-Cre, Nkx2-5IRESCre
Molecular description: Sequence encoding cre recombinase adjoined to an IRES was inserted into the 3' UTR of the endogenous locus via homologous recombination. A single frt site remained in the UTR after an frt-flanked hygromycin selection cassette was excised. A lack of observed allele complementation indicated that the inserted sequence did not significantly affect expression of the endogenous locus.
