Molecular description: This transgene uses the same construct as in Tg(rtetR-TetO-cre)1Mhz, however, it displayed a mosaic pattern early embryonic, ubiquitous (Meu) Cre expression that was not dependent on nor affected by doxycycline treatment. This line displayed a high level of partial Cre-lox recombination in all tissues examined.
