Gt(ROSA)26Sortm2(icre/ERT2)Jphe - Respiratory System
Recombinase Activity Detail
Allele Information
Allele:
Gt(ROSA)26Sortm2(icre/ERT2)Jphe
gene trap ROSA 26, Philippe Soriano; targeted mutation 2, Jean-Paul Herman
Driver: Gt(ROSA)26Sor
Type: Targeted (Inducible, Recombinase)
Inducer: tamoxifen
Synonym: Cre2ERT2, ERT2-iCre-ERT2, Gt(ROSA)26Sortm2(cre/ESR1)Jphe
Molecular description: A humanized cre gene flanked by 2 tamoxifen-binding domains (ERT2-icre-ERT2) and followed by an frt-flanked hygro cassette was knocked into the locus. Inducible cre expression is present in all cells following treatment with tamoxifen with only the brain exhibiting decresed expression levels.
