Tg(Nr2e1-cre/ERT2)1Gsc - Nervous System
Recombinase Activity Detail
Allele Information
Allele:
Tg(Nr2e1-cre/ERT2)1Gsc
transgene insertion 1, Gunther Schutz
Driver: Nr2e1
Type: Transgenic (Inducible, Recombinase)
Inducer: tamoxifen
Synonym: Tlx-CreERT2
Molecular description: This transgene consists of modified BAC containing the entire coding region of the Nr2e1 gene including flanking regulatory sequences 104 kb upstream and 30 kb downstream, and drives expression of a tamoxifen-inducible form of cre recombinase fusion protein which replaces part of exon 1 of the Nr2e1 gene. 6 lines were generated of which 3 lines are further analyzed. All three lines showed tamoxifen-inducible Cre activity in the developing forebrain. This is a representative record for all 3 lines.
