Tg(Cyp1a1-cre/ERT)1Dwi - Renal & Urinary System
Recombinase Activity Detail
Allele Information
Allele:
Tg(Cyp1a1-cre/ERT)1Dwi
transgene insertion 1, Douglas J Winton
Driver: Cyp1a1
Type: Transgenic (Inducible, Recombinase)
Inducer: tamoxifen and beta-naphthoflavone
Synonym: AhCreER, AhcreERT, AhcreERTM, Tg(Cyp1a1-cre/ESR1)1Dwi
Molecular description: The rat Cyp1a1 promoter was used to drive the expression of a cre/ERT fusion that is inducible and dose-dependent. Cre expression in various tissues (small intestine, liver, bladder, stomach, esophagus, and gall bladder) is only achieved following treatment with tamoxifen and beta-naphthoflavone. Two lines were created with identical expression patterns.
