Tg(NPHS2-cre/ERT2)#Mkas - Alimentary System
Recombinase Activity Detail
Allele Information
Allele:
Tg(NPHS2-cre/ERT2)#Mkas
transgene insertion, Masato Kasahara
Driver: NPHS2
Type: Transgenic (Inducible, Recombinase)
Inducer: tamoxifen
Synonym: NPHS2-CreERT2
Molecular description: A 2.5 kb human podocin (NPHS2) promoter (from BAC clone RP11-231PS) was used to drive expression of cre recombinase fused to a mutated human estrogen receptor (cre/ERT2) in the transgenic construct. The cre/ERT2 cassette was followed by an SV40 polyA sequence. Three founders were generated.
