Crhtm1.1(cre)Dolsn - Nervous System
Recombinase Activity Detail
Allele Information
Allele:
Crhtm1.1(cre)Dolsn
corticotropin releasing hormone; targeted mutation 1.1, David P Olson
Driver: Crh
Type: Targeted (Recombinase)
Synonym: Crfcre, CRF-ires-Cre, Crh-IRES-Cre
Molecular description: A selection cassette containing an internal ribosomal entry sequence (IRES) linked to cre and an frt-flanked kanamycin gene was inserted immediately downstream of the stop codon in exon 1 of the Crh gene contained in a BAC using recombineering methods. This construct was used to isolate a targeting plasmid with the cre-kanamycin cassette with upstream and downstream Crh homology arms. ES cells were targeted and used for blastocyst injection. Chimeras were bred for germline transmission. The selection marker was excised by breeding to Flp deleter animals.
