Cre recombinase was placed under the control of the promoter for the Col10a1 gene in BAC clone RP23-192A7. Sixteen cre expressing mouse lines were identified. Seven of the founder lines were further characterized for Cre activity. Analysis of three of these lines was reported (1427, 1465, and 1466). Line 1466 contains 5 copies of the transgene.
