Fgf10tm2.1(cre/ERT2)Sbel - Respiratory System
Recombinase Activity Detail
Allele Information
Allele:
Fgf10tm2.1(cre/ERT2)Sbel
fibroblast growth factor 10; targeted mutation 2.1, Saverio Bellusci
Driver: Fgf10
Type: Targeted (Inducible, Null/knockout, Recombinase, Reporter)
Inducer: tamoxifen
Synonym: Fgf10Cre-ERT2, Fgf10Ki-v2, Fgf10tm2(eYFP-Cre/ERT2)Sbel
Molecular description: An EGFP gene and inducible cre/ERT2 fusion were inserted into the 3' UTR immediately downstream of the stop codon of the exon 3. The self-cleavage LF2A and T2A sequences will lead to 3 distinct proteins. Flp-mediated recombination removed the selection cassette. The homozygous embryos suffered from lung and limb agenesis and the analysis of Fgf10 expression by qPCR indicated a drastic reduction in Fgf10 expression. It is a loss-of-function allele.
