Foxl1tm2(cre/ERT2)Khk - Liver & Biliary System
Recombinase Activity Detail
Allele Information
Allele:
Foxl1tm2(cre/ERT2)Khk
forkhead box L1; targeted mutation 2, Klaus H Kaestner
Driver: Foxl1
Type: Targeted (Inducible, Null/knockout, Recombinase, Reporter)
Inducer: tamoxifen
Synonym: Foxl1CreERT2-2A-tdTomato, FoxL1CreER-tdTom
Molecular description: The targeting vector contains a Cre recombinase/ERT2 fusion, a viral 2A oligopeptide that mediates ribosomal skipping, and a tdTomato reporter followed by neomycin resistance cassette inserted after the ATG site in exon 1. The insertion deletes 200 bp of the coding sequence rendering the allele null.
